Bertha Ward Jinkens
March 28, 1922 - May 28, 2009
Bertha Ward Jinkens was the daughter of Percy W. Ward and Bertha Ward. She was born March 28, 1922, in Arkansas, and died May 28, 2009, in Seattle, Washington, and is buried in Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton, Washington. She was brought to Washington as a child where she resided and went to school in Renton before Seattle became her lifelong home. She graduated from Garfield High School and also Edwards Beauty School. She was a beautician for a number of years before working for the Seattle Model City Program and retiring from the City of Seattle in their printing production department. She loved flowers and was a master gardener. She was a person who gave love to everyone. She married the late James Jinkens on October 3, 1943.
